What does a website really cost in Switzerland?
“From CHF 560”, says the ad — and then it costs 8,000 after all. Where the range comes from, what the small print leaves out, and what you pay with us.
The range
Ask for a website in Switzerland and you get quotes between roughly CHF 300 and CHF 8,000 — for the same request. That is neither chance nor fraud: the quotes mean different things. At the low end is a template you fill with your own texts and images; at the top end a presence for which someone writes the texts, sources the images, drafts the legal pages, tests the site on every device and registers it with Google.
What “from CHF 560” usually means
One page, one template, your content — which you supply and insert yourself. What is often not included: texts, images, legal notice and privacy policy, an enquiry flow that has been tested, search-engine basics and a check on the phone. Hosting and domain are added yearly, changes are billed by the hour. The entry price is real — it is just that the website you have in mind is not what it contains.
Where the money really goes
Not into technology. A site builder and a bespoke site differ technically less than people think. The effort lies in what is made only for you: the structure that fits your business; texts your customers understand; images that exist or have to be created; legal texts that fit your trade; an enquiry flow someone has actually tried; and the handover after which you can change opening hours and prices without us.
And everything that goes with it
A website is rarely the whole picture. We do the digital side completely, from one source: digital marketing, AI video ads, AI avatars for introduction videos, digital courses, e-books and documents — designed, written, produced. Such work is billed by effort: at least CHF 200 per hour, with an estimate upfront so you know what you are getting into.
What you pay with us
We state the numbers before you ask — they are on this website under Prices: small projects for start-ups and new businesses from CHF 500. A landing page that brings enquiries, CHF 3,000. A company website with three to five pages, legal texts, enquiry flow and basic SEO, CHF 5,000 to 6,000, online within five to seven days. Larger sites with two languages and a customer database, CHF 15,000. Fixed price for the agreed scope, no hourly billing, no surprises — in instalments if you wish, without a bank and without interest. Whether you need the small or the large one, we settle in the free 20-minute call — and if a CHF 560 template is enough for you, we will tell you that too.
